CLASSIC RETRO DESIGN CANVAS HIKING AND MOUNTAINEERING BACKPACK, GREEN
Inspired by the heroic beginnings of mountaineering and the legendary expeditions of the early 20th century, we created our style icon "Henry" in 2014. Due to high demand, we are now following up in 2024 with the children's version "Henry Junior" - developed for young adventurers between 6 and 12 years old.
Just like its big role model, "Henry Junior" also impresses with its lovingly crafted details: lightly padded, adjustable straps that adapt to every growth spurt, and a high-quality quilted, lightly padded back for maximum wearing comfort. The interior of the children's backpack offers a spacious main compartment, ideal for everything that young explorers need on their excursions, as well as a secure compartment for valuables in the front area. The tablet compartment for iPads and tablets up to 11" is especially practical. The side exterior pockets with closures provide additional storage space for small items.
The craftsmanship of "Henry Junior" is in no way inferior to the original. All wear points are externally trimmed with leather, stress points additionally reinforced. The back is not just padded but also elaborately quilted, turning the canvas backpack into not just a practical item but also a small piece of art. The bottom is completely made of leather, giving the children's backpack a sturdy base to master every adventure.

Leather is a natural material and may have small imperfections. Each leather product is also patinated by hand. This complex process makes our products unmistakable. No bag can be exactly like another. Small color deviations are unfortunately unavoidable and not a sign of poor quality.

Sustainable Materials
All efforts are made to ensure that everything that goes into the making of a Drakensberg piece is of a certain high standard. We use vegetable-tarined full-grain leather. We only use the finest of hides that are subjected to only a minimum of chemical processes to leave them exceptionally smooth and natural in look and feel. Over time, the leather will develop a rich and lustrous patina. Water repellent premium canvas and our cotton lining fabrics, combining with solid brass and copper hardware-materials chosen not only for their character but for their endurance. Built to age gracefully and designed to last, our pieces are a reflection of our values of integrity and trust. The entire supply chain is socially responsible and is regularly checked by us on site.
