Suitcase Tag "Luca" – Your New Travel Companion. Handcrafted from fine buffalo leather, it adds a special touch to every travel bag or weekender. Our luggage tag also serves a practical purpose. Inside, you can place a note or a business card with your contact details. In case your bag gets lost, the finder can easily reach you.
The suitcase tag is handcrafted from solid buffalo leather and features a laser engraving of our compass logo on the back. The leather strap is adjustable in length.
Perhaps you have already noticed that our bags are different.
The bag made of canvas and leather is almost completely handmade in many individual steps. Our master bag makers and saddlers need years of training to be able to produce bags of this quality.
We value natural and high-quality materials and pay attention to sustainability and the environment. GENUINE BUFFALO LEATHER, 100% COTTON, a high material strength and the complete absence of synthetic fibers in our outer fabrics characterize our bags. Handmade premium quality you can feel!
Leather is a natural material and may have small imperfections. Each leather product is also patinated by hand. This complex process makes our products unmistakable. No bag can be exactly like another. Small color deviations are unfortunately unavoidable and not a sign of poor quality.

Sustainable Materials
All efforts are made to ensure that everything that goes into the making of a Drakensberg piece is of a certain high standard. We use vegetable-tarined full-grain leather. We only use the finest of hides that are subjected to only a minimum of chemical processes to leave them exceptionally smooth and natural in look and feel. Over time, the leather will develop a rich and lustrous patina. Water repellent premium canvas and our cotton lining fabrics, combining with solid brass and copper hardware-materials chosen not only for their character but for their endurance. Built to age gracefully and designed to last, our pieces are a reflection of our values of integrity and trust. The entire supply chain is socially responsible and is regularly checked by us on site.

HOW DO I FIND OUT IF THE LEATHER LUGGAGE TAG »LUCA« FITS MY TRAVEL BAG?
The luggage tag is made from the leather of our canvas bags from the Kimberley collection and therefore goes particularly well with these travel bags, backpacks and handbags. The luggage tag can also be combined with our full-leather travel bags. It's just not exactly the same leather.
WHAT KIND OF LEATHER IS THE LUGGAGE TAG »LUCA« MADE OF?
We only use vegetable-tanned buffalo leather for the pendant. This particularly robust leather comes from India. During production, our leather is also refined by hand with oil and wax, giving it its special vintage patina.
WHERE AND HOW IS THE LEATHER LUGGAGE TAG »LUCA« MADE?
Our leather luggage tags are made in India. Our factory is a small family business whose long-standing employees make our bags with a lot of heart and passion. Over time, our long-term collaboration has developed into a real friendship. The production conditions are socially acceptable and meet SEDEX standards.

- Our leather and cotton fabrics come directly from the region in India.
- Our leather is always vegetable-tanned, which means mainly plant-based and without the use of unnecessary chemicals.
- Our standards are socially and ecologically acceptable and above average.
- However, it is our aim to continue working on ourselves and to improve our ecological and social footprint even further.
Our leather production is LWG certified
Our leather tannery is certified to the LWG standard and we use only vegetable tanning agents for tanning. The Leather Working Group (LWG) is an initiative to make conditions in tanneries and intermediaries more transparent and to bring about sustainable change. To implement its goals, the Leather Working Group has developed an audit protocol for sustainable and responsible leather production.
