Consistent is sometimes not consistent enough. With our "Ray" travel bag, we wanted to take the adventure look to the extreme and pay homage to classic expedition luggage. David Livingstone's luggage could have looked something like this on one of his numerous expeditions across South Africa in the 19th century. He discovered the famous Victoria Falls, was the first European to cross the Kalahari Desert and found the origin of the Congo.
The travel bag »Ray« is a weekender style bag for longer weekend trips of up to 7 days. The bag can be slung casually over the shoulder or carried elegantly by hand on the leather strap. On the outside there are two useful storage compartments in cargo design, which can be opened quickly if necessary. There is also a large zip pocket on the back.
The bag is of high quality. All wear points are lined with leather on the outside. All stress points are additionally reinforced.
We are Daniel and Christoph and live our dream. We founded the DRAKENSBERG label because we want to inspire people to recognize the true value of travel and to strive for it.
To understand the path as a goal and to grow with it. A good trip means learning. About life and about yourself. We know that a good trip can change a whole life. Our travel bags are intended to remind people of the zeitgeist of the 19th and 20th centuries, when travel was still an adventure and travelers were adventurers.
Perhaps you have already noticed that our bags are different.
The bag made of canvas and leather is almost completely handmade in many individual steps. Our master bag makers and saddlers need years of training to be able to produce bags of this quality.
We value natural and high-quality materials and pay attention to sustainability and the environment. GENUINE BUFFALO LEATHER, 100% COTTON, a high material strength and the complete absence of synthetic fibers in our outer fabrics characterize our bags. Handmade premium quality you can feel!
Leather is a natural material and may have small imperfections. Each leather product is also patinated by hand. This complex process makes our products unmistakable. No bag can be exactly like another. Small color deviations are unfortunately unavoidable and not a sign of poor quality.
